Weekly Letter from the Pastor

The summer activities here have been off to a great start and we are now gearing up for Summer Academy this week. As the Academy kicks-off this week we are also undergoing the transition from Mrs. Arkin to Deacon Anthony as Director of Faith Formation. With ample time to prepare, a very capable staff and a bevy of volunteers and summer camp workers, I am confident that this will be a smooth transition, even as the busiest time of their year gets underway. We extend our prayers to Nancy as she moves into the next phase of her life and for Deacon Anthony as he takes the helm here, working along side Diana Saverino, Tim Hoye, Ciro Saverino and Lori McCahill.

We did encounter a setback with the roof project as the foundation of the roof was older than expected and we needed more work than anticipated. Fortunately, the contractor worked with us to mitigate the cost as much as possible.

This weekend we celebrate the members of our parish community who have been graduated from high school, college, university, or professional schools this past spring. We are proud of their accomplishments and pray for their continued success and well-being. Some will be making that move out to another location for their professional careers, some will be taking that temporary leave as they go away to school this summer, and yet others are back with us for the time being. Congratulations and best wishes to all!

I hope everyone has a blessed week ahead,
Father Garry
